McCrae Village Clinic provides bulk-billed immunisation services for children to help protect them against vaccine-preventable diseases from six weeks of age under the National Immunisation Program (NIP). Childhood vaccines are given at scheduled ages throughout infancy and early childhood to support ongoing protection.
Vaccination is offered to eligible adults under the NIP and Victorian-funded programs. Eligible adults can receive funded vaccines such as influenza, pertussis (whooping cough), pneumococcal, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), and shingles immunisations. We also stock private vaccinations for patients who are not eligible for funded vaccines.
Vaccination against whooping cough (pertussis) and influenza is strongly recommended during pregnancy to help protect both the pregnant person and baby. A funded respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine is also recommended for pregnant women under the NIP, typically between 28 and 36 weeks’ gestation, to help confer protection to the newborn through passive immunity.
Please speak with your GP to confirm eligibility and the most up-to-date vaccination recommendations for you and your family.
