Bulk Billed Health Assessments

 

A health assessment is the assessment of a patient's health, physical, psychological and social function.Health assessments are an opportunity for your doctor to check your health. Our doctors and nurses will take the time to discuss not only your health, but also your general wellbeing and social supports.

 

45-49 year old Health Check

 

This health check is specifically for patients aged between 45 and 49 years who are at risk of developing a chronic disease. This may be because of lifestyle factors such as smoking, physical inactivity, excess weight, biomedical risk factors where there is no outward sign of a problem (such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol) or simply a family history of chronic disease. This service is bulk billed to Medicare for eligible patients.

 

Annual Health Check – 75 years and over

 

75+ Annual Health Assessment is for those members of the Practice who are over 75 years. This appointment is a comprehensive review of your physical health and lifestyle. This service is bulk billed to Medicare.

 

Annual Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Check

 

The aim of this health check is to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people receive health care matched to their needs, by encouraging early detection, diagnosis and intervention for common and treatable conditions. The health assessment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is available to all ages from children to adults. This service is bulk billed to Medicare.
