Fees & billing
All patients are required to finalise payment at the time of consultation. Please refer to the current fee list at reception and check fees prior to your appointment.
Payment methods
Payments can be made by cash, EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard. AMEX and cheques are not accepted.
Medicare
Our practice is registered for Medicare Online Claiming. Claims are lodged electronically at the time of payment and Medicare rebates are reimbursed directly into your nominated bank account.
Bulk billing
DVA Gold Card holders who are existing patients on a Chronic Disease Management Plan or CVC DVA Care Plan will continue to be bulk billed for all eligible services.
On weekdays before 3:30pm, at the doctor’s discretion, standard consultations only may be bulk billed for existing regular patients who are under 15 years or over 65 years, hold a valid Pensioner or Concession Card, require frequent visits due to a chronic condition, and are on a current GPCCMP (GP Chronic Condition Management Plan)
Private fees apply
All other consultations will incur private fees, including skin checks, wound management, procedures, dressings, injections, biopsies, ear syringing and ECGs.
Saturday appointments
All patients are privately billed for Saturday appointments.
Non-Medicare rebatable services
Medical reports and examinations such as VicRoads medicals, insurance medicals, aviation medicals, pre-employment medicals, taxi driver medicals, truck driver medicals, medical reports and private vaccinations do not attract a Medicare rebate and must be paid in full at the time of consultation.
We do not undertake WorkCover or TAC consultations for new patients. Non-Medicare rebatable consultations have a different fee structure, including WorkCover, TAC, insurance medicals, pre-employment medicals and aviation medicals. Details are available at reception.
Forms and reports
A consultation is required for completion of all forms, including travel subsidy, taxi subsidy, disability parking, private insurance, Centrelink and medical reports. Fees apply to these services and they are not Medicare rebatable.
Vaccinations
All Department of Health funded vaccinations are bulk billed for eligible patients holding a valid Medicare card.

Independent practitioner notice
Dr Ambika Katoch is an independent GP who is co-located at the practice and her fees may vary from other doctors.
Standard consultation
10 minutes. Suitable for a single medical issue.
Long consultation
20 minutes+. Suitable for more than one medical issue, cervical screening and mental health consultations. Recommended for new patients, WorkCover and TAC consultations, and travel consultations.
Prolonged consultation
40 minutes+. Required for multiple or complex medical problems to allow adequate time for proper assessment and treatment. Suitable for women’s health checks, postnatal checks, baby checks, care plans, mental health plans and procedures, skin cancer checks, medical reports, pre-employment medicals and insurance medicals.
Health assessments and GPCCMPs
Health assessments and GPCCMPs (GP Chronic Condition Management Plans) have different appointment lengths and can be booked by contacting reception.
Aviation medicals
Aviation medicals have a separate fee and appointment structure. Please contact reception for details.
