Aviation Medicals

Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) are required to undergo regular medical assessments in accordance with the requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

Dr Megh Goswami is an approved Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME), authorised by CASA to conduct aviation medical examinations. As a DAME, Dr Goswami provides specialised assessment and management in aviation medicine for pilots and air traffic controllers.

Depending on your licence class and individual medical history, you may require additional investigations such as an ECG, hearing (audiometry) test, or referral to an audiologist, ophthalmologist, or other medical specialist to meet CASA requirements. These additional services may incur separate fees.

When booking your appointment, please advise reception of:

• The class of medical you require (Class 1, Class 2 or Class 3)
• Your licence type
• Whether this is your first aviation medical or a renewal
• Your CASA Aviation Reference Number (ARN)

Having this information available will help our team schedule the appropriate appointment.

Appointments are typically 45 minutes in duration.

Fees:

• Initial aviation medical: $350

• Renewal aviation medical: $300

Additional fees apply for ECG, audiometry, and any specialist assessments where required.

Important: Before your appointment, you must complete the online medical questionnaire through the CASA Medical Records System (MRS).
